After we’ve received your request for assistance, roadside assistance will contact you within 30 minutes – regardless of whether you’re in Switzerland or abroad. In Switzerland, it will generally only take 90 minutes before you’re ready to get back on the road.

If your car breaks down: First make sure you are safe and secure the vehicle. Next call for help. These four steps allow you to safely manage the situation:
- Come to a safe stop: Turn on your hazard lights and low-beam headlights and drive your car onto the shoulder, if possible.
- Ensure your safety: Put on a high-visibility vest and go to a safe place away from the road.
- Secure the breakdown site: Place the warning triangle 100 meters behind the vehicle (50 meters in an urban area).
- Call for help: Call AXA at 0800 809 809 in Switzerland or +41 58 218 11 00 from abroad any time and give your exact location with the highway name, direction of travel, kilometer number and last exit or on ramp.
