Your development is our success factor.

At AXA, we rely on people who are curious, leave their comfort zone and are looking to find new paths. Because real change begins with the courage to move oneself forward.

For this to happen, we create space in a culture in which you can grow, both professionally, personally and as part of a team. For us, learning isn't a special program but part of the daily routine. And your professional development? A common objective.

Make your next move - with AXA

Evolvement begins when the usual is required. Innovation begins when ideas collide.

When you leave your routines, new perspectives emerge. What at first sight looks like an obstacle can become a resource - for you, your team and the company. We believe in people who shape rather than wait for change.

Learning in a team - progressing together

At AXA, you improve by interacting with others: in workshops, hackathons or innovation days, we come up with solutions together that work on a practical basis.

Our motto for this is "let your partner shine." Because development also means focusing on others and achieving more together.

Upskilling – your know-how counts

We give you the time and tools to consistently develop your skills: use our broad range of online courses, training opportunities and skills offerings. Whether technical, behavioral or leadership skills, you shape your development yourself.

Customized career through internal mobility

We believe in your potential and that development shouldn't be held back by departmental limits. At AXA, you can actively help shape your career and develop your skills internally.

Would you like a new role? A fresh angle or more responsibility? We support you along your way with real opportunities, targeted support and the openness to deploy talented people where they make the biggest difference.

Three-day study period

Development takes time - we'll give you this. With us, you are entitled to at least three-day individual study periods per year.

Would you like more than a job?

Because here, you'll find an environment where learning isn't a sideshow but part of your journey. Welcome to AXA!

  • Karin Hangarter

Karin, Deputy Head Sales Region Zurich

I started my professional journey with a classic insurance apprenticeship, but my path was anything but classic. I started working at AXA in 2019 as a service designer in Individual Life in Customer Operations. In 2020, I became team leader in the Process & Transformation Office, helping to actively shape transformation in Individual Life business. Together with the team, we redefined our new role, built bridges between departments and, among others, developed a training concept for the internal sales team of the General Agencies Pensions and Assets. The first touch point with the external sales force gave me the confidence to take the next step. Today I'm the deputy head of the sales region Zurich. My professional path was marked by training and continuing professional development, including a Bachelor from the Federal Office for National Economic Supply, specializing in Risk and Insurance, a Masters in Economic Psychology and a teaching stint at the Institute of Higher Education in Insurance.

  • Sascha Kempf

Sascha, Agile Master, Data, Technology and Innovation

Applying for a job with AXA was quick - the competition didn't stand a chance. Here unusual CVs are also welcome which made it easier for me to enter the insurance sector. My path led from commercial pilot, an IT start-up as product manager, management consulting company and a medium-sized software company where I worked remotely full-time, and finally to AXA. The corporate culture was a welcome surprise. Collegial, equal footing and open to new ideas. As an Agile Master, I had to quickly look beyond my own nose and support exciting projects in addition to my day-to-day work. I particularly like the access to modern learning platforms such as Coursera or LinkedIn Learning. I like AXA's openness to new ideas, regardless of where they come from. Innovation isn't swept under the carpet but actively encouraged. Despite complex structures, the culture manages to remain vibrant. I therefore look forward to many more years with this attractive employer.

  • Jennifer Ponda

Jennifer, People Developer Standard Business P&C

My career at AXA started by training as an insurance salesperson. Since then, I've had many roles, from internal sales to claims handling and collections to process management and business analysis, including two years with AXA in Cologne. My path was supported by a Bachelor in Business Economics and a Masters in Economic Psychology. I was able to continually develop my skills beyond my role in projects and working groups. What I particularly love is that AXA lives and breathes a culture that encourages development. To do so, that needs individual initiative, curiosity and the courage to travel along new paths. Today I help others along their paths as a People Developer and I believe that development is not a target but an attitude. And part of AXA's DNA.
