Application process at AXA

1. Search online for a job at AXA

Find out from our jobs portal about job vacancies. Have you found a job vacancy you are interested in? Then simply apply online – it only takes a few minutes.

2. Do you have any questions about a position that interests you?

If so, please contact the contact person named in the advertisement or our Recruitment team by phone or email.

3. Your online application

If you have found a suitable job, apply directly using the “Apply online now” button.

Your complete application contains the following documents:

  • Resumé
  • References
  • Diplomas/degrees

We do not require a letter of motivation, as we prefer to read your answers to our questions about the relevant vacancy in the application tool.

Duration of the application process

The duration of the entire application process – from submitting your application to possible employment – may vary depending on the situation. During the process, we will keep you informed about the next steps. You can also check the status of your application at any time and contact the responsible recruiter directly if you have any questions.

4. Getting to know you

Congratulations for winning us over with your application! We would like to invite you to a first interview.

For some functions and positions, we ask you to complete a personality questionnaire first. We will discuss the results with you in the interview.

For certain recruitments, the first step is a video interview at a later date. We will invite you to this via email and inform you in advance about the process.

5. One step nearer to the finish line – the second interview

Into the second round – we’d like to get to know you a bit better. The second interview will be organized individually depending on the job. You may get to know your future team, work on a case study, or take part in an assessment center. We will let you know in good time whether this will be the case and what your tasks will be.

6. Pre-employment screening: Checking your details

We check your application details using various criteria to make sure they are correct. To do this, we need reference information as well as an up-to-date extract from the criminal register. We’ll discuss the details with you personally.

7. Welcome on board!

Congratulations! You have won us over with your personality and skills, and your employment contract is on its way to you. You can look forward to an exciting, challenging and successful time at AXA where together we’ll work on new opportunities and solutions for our customers. Know you can!

Frequently asked questions by our applicants

Is the job advertisement still current?

You can apply as long as the job advertisement is online.

Can I apply for several jobs?

Yes, of course, you can apply for several jobs at the same time.

How can I apply?

You can apply directly online for the job that interests you. Simply click here on the “Apply online now” button in the relevant job advertisement.

In just a few steps, you can then upload your application details into our application tool as a PDF file. We can assess your application better if it’s complete. We cannot accept any email applications for data protection reasons.

Is a letter of motivation required?

We do not need a letter of motivation. After you have registered in the application tool, we ask you specific questions about your application. This speeds up the pre-selection process and gives us a good impression of your motivation, expectations, and core skills.

How does the application process work?
  1. You always apply online directly for your required job using the “Apply online now” button in the job advertisement.
  2. As soon as you have uploaded your application details, you’ll receive an email confirmation.
  3. The responsible recruiting manager carries out the pre-selection process. They analyse and assess the applications received by skills and experience of the individual applicants.
  4. The recruiting manager forwards applications matching an advertised position to the relevant direct line manager.
  5. If you meet the requirements and we like your application, we look forward to getting to know you in an interview.
What are the selection criteria?

You will find the specific requirements in the respective job advertisement. We make decisions based on your knowledge, qualifications, and professional experience relevant for the job as well as your development potential. It is also important for us that you fit in with AXA and our culture.

How long does the recruitment process last?

It varies depending on the position. The recruitment process lasts on average between eight and twelve weeks. We normally need around two to three weeks for the pre-selection process. We place great emphasis on carrying out the pre-selection process quickly and professionally and on meticulously checking all applications. We kindly ask for your patience at this point, as the process can sometimes be delayed. You will then be informed either by phone or via email about what the next steps will be.

I have received a rejection. What can I do if I’d like to join AXA?

Receiving a rejection is frustrating and can sometimes be hard to understand. Unfortunately we cannot accept all applications and have to concentrate on the applicants who in our view will be best suited to the job. We’re sorry to have disappointed you. Maybe you’ll find another job on our “Job vacancies” page that could interest you? You can also activate a job subscription so that you don’t miss any jobs.

What happens in the first interview?

The aim of the first interview is for both sides to get a personal first impression. This is your opportunity to explain your motivation applying for the open position and highlight your skills and experience. In return, you’ll find out more from us about the function of the job, the tasks, any opportunities for professional development within AXA and what we can offer you as an employer.

You will get to meet your future direct line manager at this interview. Depending on the position to be filled, the responsible Recruiting Manager is also there and conducts the interview. A first interview normally lasts between approximately 60 to a maximum of 90 minutes.

Our tip:
Be open and honest in the interview! This is the only way of finding out whether you fit in with AXA. For a successful work relationship, it is important that you feel comfortable.

Do I have to fill out a personality questionnaire before the interview?

For some jobs, you will also receive a link to a personality questionnaire with the invitation to the interview. We kindly ask you to complete it beforehand and return it to us. We’ll give you the results beforehand and discuss them in the interview. This questionnaire is not a classic test, but a self-assessment. It takes around 20 minutes to answer the questions.

Do you also use video interviews as part of the pre-selection process?

We conduct a video interview depending on the job. You’ll receive an email invitation from us. The video interview is pre-recorded and can be completed by you online wherever you are. We use it to ask you a few questions. The video interview helps you show yourself in a better light compared to a written application.

Can I chat with AXA?

You have the option of asking the Recruitment team questions either on the “Vacancies” page or directly in the job advertisement of the advertised position. These will be answered in real time. Please note that we can only service the chat facility during office hours.
If you have any specific questions on an advertised position, you can get in touch directly with the responsible contact person.

What happens with my details if I have uploaded them onto the application platform?

Your details and application documentation you have entered or uploaded to the AXA application platform will be automatically deleted or anonymized six months after the end of the application process. However, you can deactivate your profile yourself at any time on the AXA application platform. To do so, register in the system with your access data, click on “Main page” and “Deactivate my profile.” Please also contact the Recruitment team by email.
