Swibeco helps make you even more attractive as an employer. Your employees receive benefit programs, gifts and tax-free fringe benefits from a single source. This can help you attract and retain the best talent for longer.
Swibeco is an AXA partner company offering you a platform for fringe benefits.
Swibeco’s benefits program is clear and can be personalized. You decide which offers you’d like to give your staff.
Swibeco brings many other benefits in addition to improving attractiveness. As an AXA customer, you benefit in two ways and save money when using the platform.
Register as company administrator on our myAXA customer portal and then click on the “Use Employee Benefits” tile.
Here's how to activate Swibeco for your employees:
Swibeco is a web and mobile platform that provides tax-free fringe benefits and a range of permanent special offers for employees. The aim of the platform is to increase your staff’s spending power and simplify their gratuities and rewards.
Fringe benefits are benefits that your staff receive in addition to their salary. For instance, these may be staff discounts on your own products, meal allowances, vacation days, private shared use of a car or participation in Pillar 2.
Swibeco helps your employees make the most of their salaries. You boost your employees’ spending power through special offers on everyday products.
Swibeco features discounts from more than 150 partners from all over Switzerland, ranging from electronics and nutrition to sport, travel and books. Providers include Coop, Manor and Zalando.
Swipoints are the basis of flexible benefits. As a company, you can buy points and pass them on to your staff (e.g. as a reward). They can then decide for themselves how to spend their points: buying from online shops, loading up their Reka card, paying into their Pillar 3 account, donating to charity, etc.
The Lunch Card is a chargeable additional module. You can use it to give your employees a meal allowance of up to CHF 180 tax-free per month. With more than 35,000 sales outlets, the Swibeco card has the largest network in Switzerland and is accepted at any food outlet (restaurants, take-aways, bakers, canteens, supermarkets).
Swibeco’s partners are companies that offer products and services for consumers in Switzerland. They have attractive offers for Swibeco users.
AXA is here as your partner. We would therefore like to make Swibeco’s offering accessible to you as a company.
AXA pays the license fees for your employees if you have taken out a contract for occupational pension provision (pension fund) with an AXA collective foundation (AXA Foundation for Occupational Benefits, AXA LPP Foundation Suisse Romande, AXA Occupational Benefits Foundation, Columna Collective Foundation Group Invest, Columna Collective Foundation Client Invest, AXA Foundation of Supplementary Benefits). Another requirement is that you use myAXA to access and administer Swibeco.
Employees who are not required to be in a pension fund can only benefit from Swibeco from 2021.
myAXA is AXA’s customer portal that provides secure access round the clock to your contract-related documents, invoices, and much more. You can manage your contracts online and receive information about your insurance and pension solutions You can also use the myAXA login for Swibeco.
AXA is a minority shareholder in Swibeco.
Using myAXA means that you don’t have to run your own administration. Employees joining and leaving the company are matched directly between the pension fund database and Swibeco.
At the moment, we only know those of your employees who are affiliated to the pension fund. We are working on a solution that will also include the remainder of your staff (apprentices, part-timers or those under age 26).
All data is stored on high-security servers in Switzerland. Swibeco is committed to complying with all data protection laws. No personal data is passed on or sold. AXA has no access to individual user behavior.
You can adapt the platform graphically to suit your requirements and, for example, use your own company logo and colors.
You can also use Swibeco to make your own in-house deals accessible to your employees.
You can block offers for your employees under the “Blacklist” section.
Swipoints issued up to the value of CHF 500 per employee and event (such as birthday, Christmas, anniversary etc.) are regarded as a gift for tax purposes and, as such, are not subject to social security contributions. This means that they do not have to be shown in the salary certificate.
Employees should always use up all their points before they leave. If they don’t, the credit reverts to the company.
Swipoints do not have an expiry date, they can be saved up.
You can still use Swibeco regardless of the BVG contract, but you will continue to pay the usage fee yourself. If you no longer wish to use Swibeco, you terminate the contract at the same time as your BVG policy.
You buy Swipoints for your company via the platform and can then transfer these points to your employees, such as for special benefits, birthdays, anniversaries or similar.
You can also buy most products without Swipoints, e.g. by using a credit card or on account.
The best way is to let them know in advance in person or in writing that you will be introducing an additional discount system. Flyers or a poster in break rooms or next to coffee machines can also be helpful.
There is no upper limit for purchases on the platform.
Products and services are bought in the same way as with other well-known online shops, i.e. directly with partners or with voucher codes.
The Swibeco platform and its offers are being constantly expanded and developed.
You can reward your employees with Swipoints, for example, for which you do not have to pay any social security contributions and for which there is no income tax liability for employees. Your employees also benefit from fewer deductions and greater spending power. So you both make the most of salaries.
