Online safety for the whole family Cyber prevention

Identifying and preventing digital risks

Cyber Worry Monitor: latest trends and developments

What risks are children exposed to online, and how can I protect them?

Cyber bullying, sexualized violence, fake news: there are more and more potential dangers for children and young people, and artificial intelligence is increasing these risks further. AI-generated content is making it ever harder to tell the difference between the real and the fake.

This is precisely why protection needs to start early, with easy-to-understand explanations, practical tips, and tried-and-tested services to help you day to day. As an insurer, we combine cyber prevention with tailored insurance coverage to help families identify and effectively reduce risks. This brings lasting improvements in digital safety – at home, at school, and everywhere else.

How can we teach children about cyber security?

Our partner Evulpo – digital media expertise to keep you safe online

Evulpo is an online learning platform developed in Switzerland that offers thousands of explanatory videos, summaries, and exercises on key school subjects and social issues. Its new cyber prevention content was developed exclusively in conjunction with AXA. It is aimed primarily at school students from year 3 to high school and also serves as an aid for teachers and parents.

Take a look for yourself at these three videos:

  • Data protection and AI: Social media have become a firm fixture of our day-to-day lives. We chat, share, and network on a global scale. However, the internet is not a law-free zone – rules and regulations still apply.
  • Cyber bullying: Studies show that almost half of all people in Switzerland have experienced some form of cyber bullying – such as insults, threats or naming and shaming on social media, in group chats or by direct message. Depending on the situation, the consequences can range from trouble at school to psychological damage for victims or even legal action.
  • Using social media and networks: We communicate and share content globally, but there are still clear rules we have to abide by online. The internet is not a law-free zone, and police statistics show that our increasing online presence and new technologies go hand in hand with rising cyber crime.

Note: The videos are currently only available in German.

CyberVengers Club – a fun way to learn about cyber prevention

Cyber risks to children and young people are a growing challenge for society and can have serious consequences such as isolation, depression, and even dropping out of school. The CyberVengers Club helps tweens and teens aged 11 to 14 to get better at spotting and avoiding digital threats. Through a fun, interactive, and educational series of web cartoons, together with a quiz and goodies, they can learn by themselves the most important rules for staying safe online.

A support kit for parents, meanwhile, helps them to talk to their children about cyber risks, raise awareness of typical online mistakes, and build up their knowledge. Topics covered include hacking, phishing, cyber bullying, fake news, problematic content, sexting, fraud, viruses, image manipulation, and identity theft.

Cooperation with Child Protection Switzerland

Child Protection Switzerland is an independent charitable foundation that works all over the country to ensure that children can grow up in safety and with dignity in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It systematically calls out illegal activity, raises awareness of and lobbies against violence, and offers training and support for parents and specialists.

The foundation is especially committed to fighting sexualized violence in the digital space, since sexual abuse increasingly takes place online. AXA began supporting Child Protection Switzerland in 2026. The aim of this cooperation is to establish a zero-tolerance attitude in society toward the sexual exploitation of children and young people. The campaign “Tackling cyber sex crimes against children and young people together” is about strengthening prevention and building networks to improve personal cyber security.
