For groundbreaking innovations we need new insights. Many research projects in Switzerland and around the world are borne or co-financed by AXA.
Via the AXA Research Fund, the AXA Group supports more than 550 research projects in 35 countries to the tune of around 180 million euros. The AXA Research Fund finances basic research and innovative projects on environmental risks, social threats, and global challenges.
In keeping with its marketing claim "Know You Can", AXA supports Swiss women's football. The country's best female teams have played in the AXA Women's Super League since August 2020. Our sponsorship helps to make sure that the women's game and its players receive the recognition they deserve.
Since 2016, AXA has been a member of the umbrella organization of the Swiss economy for the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency (AEE). It raises awareness among the public and decision-makers for a sustainable energy policy and is involved in shaping the economic and energy policy framework conditions.
Swiss Climate Foundation
The Climate Foundation supports and promotes SMEs in their efforts to save energy and develop climate-friendly products. AXA is represented on the Board of Trustees and the foundation's advisory council.
The group of large-scale consumers collaborating on the Zurich Energy Model, to which AXA also belongs, has reached a target agreement for the period 2013-2020 with the Energy Agency (EnAW). Every year, each member company makes a contribution to increasing its energy efficiency, whereby the agreed group targets are met or even exceeded.

AXA is the only insurer in Switzerland that invests in its own accident research. The annual crash tests provide important insights for effective prevention measures.
Swisscharge.ch and AXA are committed to the Europe-wide establishment of e-charging stations. An app brings operators and drivers together.

Improved safety in road traffic – the foundation is committed to this through the use of preventive measures, research projects, and the character "Max the Badger."
AXA's Generation Dialogue Foundation
Greater solidarity between young and old – that is the aim of the foundation. Its projects encourage dialogue between the generations.
