Safe through your daily routine Accident research & prevention

Thanks to the prevention services of AXA Research and Prevention, people are safer both on the road and in the virtual world.

AXA Research & Prevention Team

Any accident is one too many. This is particularly true when it comes to road traffic where around 270 people still lose their lives every year. AXA Research and Prevention therefore focuses on better road safety, particularly for young drivers but also for corporate customers. In the virtual world, the risks are also increasing with cyber incidents or bullying. The prevention work of AXA Research and Prevention helps minimize damage and stress, enabling people to lead their online and offline lives without worrying.

Through its research work, AXA Research and Prevention identifies potential dangers and develops solutions. For instance, it offers accident analyses based on vehicle data such as speed and braking delays and raises awareness among young drivers with the Safe Driver Bonus.

Focusing on your safety for 40 years

We have been aiming to reduce the number of accidents in Switzerland for decades. We have promoted innovations such as motorbike airbags and crash recorders, providing significant momentum for changes in the law too. We've been working on road safety since 1981 by carrying out analyses and tests. The video shows how things have developed over the last 40 years. This interview with Michael Pfäffli gives you more information and an overview of AXA's previous crash tests.
